The Spanish pavilion at the VII Internacional Architecture Exhibiton, organised by the Venice Biennial Exhibition, is proud to show a chalienging project, in keeping with the prestige of the host contest. A universal exhibition in which the Spanish contribution, from the very beginning, both in terms of the architectural programmes and in the field of the plastic arts, was always widely recognized, as proven by the numerous prizes awarded to our creators. In this particular edition of the contest, the organizar, Alberto Campo Baeza, has decided to include severa firms representing the most recent Spanish architecture, members of an emerging generation who are already making absolutely cleartheir commitmentto the values of professional responsibility and ethics. Such a bebaviour is harmonically in tune with the quideline profile behind the Biennial Exhibition´s title: "The city, less aesthetics and more ethics". Through this particular contribution, ¡he Ministry of Developinent, working in elose cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wishes to put forward an open and rnodern picture of Spain througb one of the most social of activities. architecture.
